10-4-06, is the Masters (men and women over 40) 5K cross country championships in Saratoga Springs, NY with separate races for men 40+ at 11:00, men 50+ at 11:30, all women at 12:00 noon and men over 60+ at 12:45. The Harriers will pay entry fees and we're trying
to field teams (open women and masters women in
Boston) all teams in Saratoga Springs. If interested please call Art ASAP at 737-4559 so we can pre-enter and save money (entry fees are escalating!)
While both are excellent races, Boston is really a
not to be missed event.

September Upcoming Events
Our web site is being revamped (we could use some help on this from any techies on the club) and our schedule is a casualty… thus here’s a chronological listing of some of the more noteworthy upcoming events.

September 17, Sunday  11:15 am  USATF 5K Championships. Providence, RI Post entries are accepted and we need one more open male runner for a respectable team (We have four, five to score).  It would help to have another women open women too as we have only three, just enough to score.  A chance to meet and race against Anthony Famiglietti and Amy Rudolph.

September 18, Monday  6:00 pm Harrier board meeting at Carrie Figiel’s house.

September 19, Tuesday  7:00 pm   Annual meeting of the New England Association of USATF at the Newton Marriott.  Every member has a vote.  If you’re at all interested in our sport you should consider attending.

October 1, Sunday, 11:00 am Harvard, MA  USATF-New England 10 mile Championship.  The next to the last chance for all our teams and individuals to improve in the Grand Prix standings.  Five Harriers remain in contention for the ironman award.  (Rich Clark, Joe and Cindy Fois, Paul Jensen and Steve O’Neil)   Complete standings have been updated on the USATF-New England web site.  Let’s finish strong, men, women, masters, seniors, veterans.

October 9, Monday 12pm,  Boston, MA  The 30th Annual Tufts Health Plan 10 K for women and USATF National 10K Championships. Starts and finishes at the Boston Common.   Not to be missed!  A great race!   Harriers will field open and master teams.

October 15, Sunday, Saratoga Springs, NY  USATF National Masters 5K Cross Country Championships.  Races start at 11:00 AM.  We plan to field teams in as many divisions as possible. All info on their web site.
