i have felt this effect before. obviously you need to feed your body with calcium, iron, and b-vitamins. this will boost your energy metabolism, and solidify your recovery. other than that, as you taper a bit, your body should replenish. marathon training is like slow-erosion, so when you increase your rest, it will re-fortify the the levees. for me i find that when i'm running on empty, my body craves eggs, hamburgers, steak, etc, protein and iron sources. satiate your cravings a bit. it is usually your body asking you for what it needs. good luck. be confident. your mind can trick your body into doing what it wants. the old jedi-mind trick. use the force... sincerely, d. vader
