Tom Michaud Joins Hall of Fame
Elizabeth Duquette Adds to Records

A small but enthusiastic group of harriers opened the cross country half of the Summer Sizzler program, with Tom Michaud and Elizabeth Duquette the fastest of the bunch.
For Tom it was his first Summer Sizzler crown as he became the 114th member of the Hall of Fame with a solid 19:10 effort.  First master John Cote followed in an impressive 19:46 while Eric Brown took the bronze medal in 21:34.  Bob Massaro was first veteran in 27:39.
It was 1 for 2 in 2004 for Elizabeth Duquette as the women’s list leader clocked 23:59 for her 41st  lifetime Summer Sizzler victory.  In the process she erased the record for 49 year old women of 27:32 set by Harrier teammate Betty Matthews two years.  The cross country  specialist now owns eight single age records on the Summer Sizzler cross country course, the most of any woman.
